Major Tip For Practising Self Hypnosis

A Common Problem In Getting Into Trance
Many people complain that when they try to get into trance, even with a professional audio guide, even after practising self-hypnosis for a long time, they find it impossible to focus on the hypnotist voice. They usually say that they start to think about day life problems and become impatient. As they cannot avoid noticing it they get frustrated and after trying to force the trance simply give up.
This is characteristic for perfectionistic persons, often described in psychology as type A persons. Of course this situation becomes a magic cycle and each time the person get more quickly into this state of mind and find it even more frustrating. So What can be done about it?

The Solution
In this case instead of focusing on the hypnotist voice you should simply ignore it, even if it asks you to focus on it. Try to imagine yourself on whatever location where you can relax completely, e.g. the beach. Let your thoughts wonder and become slower and slower, like in daydreaming. Whatever is the goal of the hypnosis session stick to this guidelines. Don't worry about missing the hypnotist instructions. By daydreaming you will get the same beneficts just like from focusing deeply.
The next step is to start counting backwards, say from 300. You can even take a breath out after every count, no matter how slowly the counting becomes. When this is natural for you you can even try to imagine the every number written in front of you. The last step is to figure each number in smaller size than the previous one.
